Słowiańskie zaręczyny / Slavic engagement

Miłość nie zna granic. Dlatego, żeby wymarzona kobieta została wymarzoną żoną mężczyzna jest w stanie zrobić wszystko. Niektórzy tańczą dla niej z Myszką Mickey w Disneylandzie, inni zaciągają ją na plażę o zachodzie słońca. 

Za to Pan Leszek wybrał najkrótszą noc w roku, żeby stworzyć najdłuższy związek w swoim życiu.

Love has no boundaries. That's why man is capable to do everything to convince his dream girl to become his dream wife. Some of them are dancing with Mickey Mouse in Disneyland, some are taking her on the beach during sunset.

Mr Leszek chose the shortest night in the year to create the longest relationship in his life.

Święto Kupały / Kupala

Od zarania dziejów Słowianie obchodzą noc przesilenia letniego jako radosne święto miłości i płodności. Podobne święto była również kultywowana przez ludy celtyckie, bałtyckie, czy germańskie.

Jedną z tradycji jest puszczanie przez panny wianków na wodę, aby wywróżyć, która najszybciej wyjdzie za mąż.

Since the dawn of time Slavic people are celebrating Midsummer as joyful holiday of love and fertility. Similar holiday was cultivating also by Celtic, Baltic and German people.

One of the traditions is putting wreaths on the water by unmarried girls. It should foretell which one of them would get married the soonest.

Na tę specjalną okazję Pan Leszek wybrał dwa słowiańskie stroje. Dla siebie lnianą koszulę z tradycyjnym słowiańskim obszyciem w kolorach bieli i czerwieni. Dla przyszłej narzeczonej lekką suknię również z obszyciem.

Wianek Pani Dominiki prawdopodobnie wyprzedziłby wszystkie inne, ale nie było potrzeby, by w ogóle wkładała go do rzeki. Partner przygotował dla niej piękne słowiańskie zaręczyny.

Narzeczonym serdecznie gratulujemy i czekamy na słowiańskie wesele!

For this special occasion Mr Leszek choose two slavic clothes. For himself linen shirt with traditional slavic hem colored white and red. For his future fiancee he chose light dress also with hem.

Wreath of Mrs. Dominika would probably overtake another girl's wreaths, but there was no need to put it into the river. Her boyfriend prepared beautiful slavic engagement.

We're sending congratulations to engaged couple and wish them luck. And of course, we're waiting for slavic wedding!

Clothes for Danish Vikings:)

Hello,

I would like to show You today the pictures of my products sent to me by my customer.

It always gives me a lot of pleasure to see someone in clothes made by myself.

So I would like to show You them too:)

On the first picture there’s a set of clothes customized for Peter Christensen from Denmark:

Peter with his 12 year old son are Vikings from Danish group Rollo - Lejre Rollespilsforening. They organize camps for young people who want to became Viking warriors. It is very important to preserve the high level of reconstruction and to be close to historical realities.  It’s really nice to work for people who take care of education about great history of the region. 

  

About clothes made by me:

Peter have a pasbyxor baggy pants made of rusty red thin wool (very itchy!:) and linen undyed shirt. Shirt is based on the find from Birka, it has two wedges on both sides.

Peter's son have a hood based on the findings from Skjoldehamn and tunic  based on the Birka findings too.

It’s made of 100% wool with herringbone pattern, woven of blue and gray colored thread.

Everything is hand sewn with linen thread.
